Jim Polytechnic was established 1997/1998 as jim College of Technology during that time is only runing Certificate Courses in Engineering, Management Science and others courses. In 2014 the college evolved into a full fledge polytechnic to cater for the academic needs of the people.
Jim Poly is loaded with the best in class teaching and administrative staff. The classrooms, laboratories, workshops and libraries are built and stocked with adequate equipments and up-to-date books to support academic excellence.
Mission: In keeping with the cardinal objectives of the polytechnic (excellence in teaching, learning and research through development, deployment and retention of sound scholarship), the polytechnic shall employ the most modern approaches and techniques to provide solutions to problems in our immediate environment and the whole community at large. We shall also strive to provide knowledge and enabling environment for analysis and adaptation through teaching, research, hands-on practical training and seminars.
Vision:The JIM POLYTECHNIC shall be outstanding and famous in producing graduates with ND,HND and B.Sc in their area of specialization par excellence who will be well- grounded in area of specialization. They should be able to make formidable impacts through technological adaptation, modelling, design and project management. Furthermore, the graduates shall be equipped with good team spirit and communication skills towards appropriate application and improvement on the technology acquired.
Accreditation: All programs and courses offered in Jim Poly are accredited by the Federal Government through National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for award of National Diploma and Higher National Diploma qualifications.
International Accreditation: Jim Poly is also accredited by the U.S. through Safety and Security award International Qualifications at Diploma and Full Technological Diploma levels recognized in over 200 Countries for employment and academic progression.
